In August of 1993 my family’s home church relocated to Highland. As we became more involved in the church, we became more involved in the community. As a youth we participated in a lot of events around town. One of my standout memories as a kid was when a group of us were helping decorate Christmas parade floats on the side lot of the old police station. It was a lot of work and we were wiped out; and by divine providence, as we were sitting on a small wall taking a break, the sheriff walked outside with a brown box of meat, bean and cheese burritos from a local spot here in Highland. It was an obviously memorable end to a hard day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I met my wife of 20 years here in Highland when she visited a local high school discipleship program. In 2006, we were married here in Highland. In 2010 we bought our first home here in Highland. We are still in that same home and continue to raise our family here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We consider ourselves very fortunate to live here in Highland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
